On January 20 and 21, the winter edition of the Porsche Sprint Challenge took place at the Valencia circuit. Robert de Haan competed in the Sport division for the Richardson Racing Team (UK). With two pole positions and two victories, De Haan couldn't have asked for a better start to the season.

Dream Debut The Valencia circuit set the stage for the start of a new high-level competition within the Porsche pyramid. This competition provides drivers and teams the opportunity to race in optimal conditions during the winter period. The event features official Porsche 911 GT3 cup cars in an event organized by Porsche. A week before the event, Robert was invited to participate by the British racing team Richardson Racing. With no expectations and no prior race experience in these classes, Robert achieved two pole positions and two race wins, a perfect score. Notably, many of his opponents were second-year drivers with significant racing experience, making his performance remarkable. Robert de Haan expressed his gratitude, stating, "I am incredibly grateful to be asked to race this weekend for Richardson Racing, and achieving these top results was a dream debut. It was my first race in this car."

Upcoming Period The winter edition of the Porsche Sprint Challenge continues in the coming weeks with two more race weekends on the schedule: February 11-12 in Portimão and February 24-25 in Barcelona. Due to his remarkable results and leading the championship, there is now a rush to secure participation in the next two rounds.

In 2023, De Haan will compete in a national Porsche championship, with the goal of becoming a permanent fixture in the Porsche Supercup in 2024.
