The 16-year-old Robert de Haan from Eerbeek breaks records in his Porsche Carrera GT3 debut

At just 16 years old, Robert de Haan from Eerbeek has begun his debut season in both the Benelux and British Porsche Carrera Cup. With 6 races under his belt, the young racer has achieved an impressive 5 podiums, including 3 first-place finishes (P1), making him the youngest winner ever in a Porsche Carrera Cup race.

In the first race of the season at Donington Park in England, Robert de Haan made history as the youngest overall race winner in the championship's history. He expressed his excitement about the victory, praising the team's preparation and enjoying the challenge of driving on a drying track. In the second race, he encountered aquaplaning on all four tires in the first sector, but showcased remarkable race pace and even set the fastest lap of the field.

At Brands Hatch, De Haan continued to impress, winning both races. However, due to a safety car situation, he had to give up two places after the podium ceremony. In the British championship, Robert now holds the second position overall and leads in the rookie championship.

In the Benelux championship at Spa-Francorchamps, De Haan demonstrated his talent with a 1st and 2nd place finish in both races. Despite challenging weather conditions, he remained unfazed and showcased his skills. His performance was hailed with the announcement, "A name to remember," during the podium ceremony. Robert is pleased with his success and acknowledges the pressure as a 16-year-old rookie, but he has been living up to expectations so far.

  • June 17-18: Oulton Park - Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain

  • June 22-24: Circuit Zandvoort - Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux

  • August 11-13: TT Circuit Assen - Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux

  • August 12-13: Knockhill - Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain (possibly not raced due to Benelux)

  • August 26-27: Donington Park - Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain

  • September 8-10: Circuit Zolder - Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux

  • September 23-24: Silverstone - Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain

  • September 22-24: Red Bull Ring - Porsche Carrera Cup Benelux

  • October 7-8: Brands Hatch - Porsche Carrera Cup Great Britain
